Everything from install to a fully AI-readable site: identity, crawler policy, metas and FAQs, the suggestions workflow, importing from another SEO plugin, and the Pro AI features.
Install straight from the official directory: Plugins → Add New, search for Demfilz AI SEO, install and activate - or get it from the WordPress.org listing. A Settings pointer appears; the AI SEO menu is added to your admin sidebar.
Defaults are deliberately useful: from the first minute your site serves /sitemap.xml, /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt and a markdown mirror of every page at its URL plus .md, and outputs schema and social tags. Nothing needs configuring for that to work.
Open AI SEO → Settings. Under Site identity, enter your organization name, a logo URL (paste from the Media Library), your social profiles one per line, a default social image and a one-or-two sentence site summary for AI - this becomes your front-page description and the summary at the top of llms.txt. Tick "Append the site name to custom meta titles" if you want Title - Site Name branding in search results.
Still in Settings, the AI crawlers table lists fifteen bots with their purpose: model training (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, CCBot, Bytespider...), AI search indexes (OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot) and on-demand assistant visits (ChatGPT-User, Claude-Web). Each can be Default (no rule), Allow or Block. Block all training bots sets every training bot to Block in one click while leaving AI search and assistant visits open - usually the sweet spot between visibility and control.
Note: if a physical robots.txt file exists on your server, WordPress cannot modify robots.txt and the Settings page warns you - delete or rename that file for the policy to take effect.
Every post, page and product gets two boxes on its edit screen:

A breadcrumb trail is available anywhere with the [daeo_breadcrumbs] shortcode, matching the BreadcrumbList schema.
Open AI SEO → Suggestions. Click Scan all content once so every published item has a current score, then switch the sort to Worst score first. Each row lists exactly what to fix - missing or badly-sized metas, thin content, missing subheadings or alt text, no internal links, no FAQ. Fix, update, and the score refreshes on save.
Switching from Yoast, Rank Math, All in One SEO or SEOPress? At the bottom of Settings, click the matching Import button: every per-page meta title and description you wrote there is copied across. Values already set in this plugin are never overwritten, and templated values (like %%title%%) are skipped. The plugin also warns while another SEO plugin is active, and every module has its own switch so the two can coexist while you migrate.
Install the Pro add-on alongside the free plugin, then open AI SEO → Licence & AI and either activate your licence key (subscribe from that page - Pro $19.95/month with 200 AI generations, Pro Plus $39.95/month with 1,000) or save your own Anthropic API key.

One generation is one click. With a licence, AI runs through the managed service (no API account needed); your own Anthropic key acts as a fallback when the monthly allowance runs out - or as the sole route without a licence, billed by Anthropic directly. A per-user limit of 30 AI requests per hour protects your allowance.
The bottom of the Settings page links your live files: /sitemap.xml, /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt and /robots.txt. Add .md to any page URL (for example /about.md) to see its markdown mirror - exactly what AI assistants read. Member-only and paywalled content stays protected: mirrors render what a logged-out visitor sees.
Deactivating stops all output immediately. Deleting the plugin removes its settings; your per-page metas and FAQs are kept unless you tick "Also delete all stored SEO fields" in Settings first. Deleting the Pro add-on releases this site's licence activation automatically.
