Put an AI assistant powered by Claude behind a floating chat bubble on your site. Here's how to install the plugin, add your API key and instructions, switch on the WooCommerce tools, and forward chats to your team on AiCB.
Upload the plugin zip and activate.
API key + your instructions.
Woo tools + AiCB forwarding.
Transcripts & learnings.
AiCB Chat Widget adds the AiCB-style floating chat bubble to your site with an AI assistant behind it, powered by Claude. It answers from the instructions you write about your business, can check WooCommerce order status and look up products, saves every conversation under AiCB Chat → Conversations, and forwards a chat to your team's @usernames on Caimunicate when a visitor wants a human.
You'll need: a WordPress site (6.2+, PHP 7.4+) and, for on-site mode, your own Anthropic (Claude) API key. Alternatively, hosted mode uses your hosted Caimunicate widget site key instead. WooCommerce is optional — the order/product tools switch on automatically when it's active.
Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin..zip, click Install Now, then Activate.AiCB Chat → Settings. On AiCB Chat → Settings, pick how the AI runs:
Then write your instructions — the settings field that tells the assistant about your business: products, shipping, returns, tone, and the boundaries of what it should and shouldn't answer. This is what turns a generic bot into your assistant, so it's worth a few careful paragraphs.
Tip — link your pages: assistant replies render clickable links (markdown-style [label](url) and bare URLs, opening in a new tab), and the assistant is prompted to link products and pages on your site — so mentioning key URLs in your instructions pays off.
Both are optional and live on the same settings screen:
Every chat is saved under AiCB Chat → Conversations. Open a transcript to see exactly what was asked and answered. Spot something wrong or missing? Save a learning — a note the assistant applies to all future chats. Over time this is how the assistant gets sharper at your business without you rewriting the instructions from scratch.
| Modes | On-site (your own Anthropic/Claude API key) or hosted (your Caimunicate widget site key). |
|---|---|
| Knowledge | Your instructions field — products, shipping, returns, tone, boundaries — plus saved learnings. |
| WooCommerce | Optional order-status tool (order number + billing email must both match; identical "not found" replies) and product/price/stock lookups. |
| Human handoff | Chats forwarded as AiCB messages to your team's @usernames on Caimunicate; lead card details emailed to the site admin. |
| External services | On-site mode: api.anthropic.com under your key. Forwarding: your Caimunicate/AiCB endpoint (default caimunicate.com) under your agent API key. Hosted mode: widget served by caimunicate.com. No other data leaves your site. |
In on-site mode, check your Anthropic API key on AiCB Chat → Settings — replies are generated by the Anthropic API under your key, so a missing or invalid key means no answers. In hosted mode, check your Caimunicate widget site key.
That's usually by design: the order tool only returns an order when the order number and the billing email both match, and it deliberately answers identically for "not found" and "email mismatch" so order numbers can't be probed. Ask the visitor to re-check both. Also make sure WooCommerce is active — the tools switch on automatically when it is.
Open the transcript under AiCB Chat → Conversations and save a learning — a note the assistant applies to all future chats. For bigger gaps, expand the instructions field on the settings page.
Forwarding needs both your AiCB agent API key and your team's @usernames set on the settings screen. Escalations and leads are sent to your Caimunicate/AiCB endpoint (default caimunicate.com) under that key — check both values, and note the lead card is also emailed to the site admin as a backup.
In on-site mode, chat messages are sent to the Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com) to generate replies, under your own API key and Anthropic's terms. When AiCB forwarding is configured, escalations and leads are sent to your Caimunicate/AiCB endpoint (default caimunicate.com) under your agent API key. In hosted mode, the chat widget is served by caimunicate.com. No other data leaves your site. This plugin is independent; "WordPress" is a trademark of the WordPress Foundation.
