Add the AiCB-style floating chat bubble to your WordPress site with an AI assistant powered by Claude behind it. It answers from the instructions you write about your business, checks WooCommerce order status and products when you have a store, saves every conversation for review — and forwards the chat to your team on AiCB when a visitor wants a human.
v1.0.1 · WordPress 6.2+ · PHP 7.4+ · free · GPL-2.0+ · on the official WordPress.org plugin directory
AiCB Chat Widget puts a floating chat bubble on your site with a real AI assistant behind it. A settings field of instructions tells the assistant about your business — products, shipping, returns, tone, boundaries — so it answers as your business, not as a generic bot.
Since v1.0.1 the assistant's replies render clickable links (markdown-style and bare URLs, opening in a new tab), and it's prompted to link visitors to products and pages on your site.
On-site mode — the AI runs from your site with your own Anthropic (Claude) API key. Or hosted mode — embed your hosted Caimunicate widget site key instead, and the widget is served by caimunicate.com.
In on-site mode, chat messages are sent to the Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com) to generate replies, under your own API key and Anthropic's terms. When AiCB forwarding is configured, escalations and leads go to your Caimunicate/AiCB endpoint under your agent API key. No other data leaves your site.
Useful answers for visitors, privacy for your customers, and a human when it matters.
Visitors can check an order's status and ask about products, prices and stock. The order tool only answers when the order number and billing email both match — and replies identically for "not found" and "email mismatch", so order numbers can't be probed. No WooCommerce? It simply answers from your instructions.
Every chat is stored under AiCB Chat → Conversations. Read a transcript, spot a wrong or missing answer, and save a learning — a note the assistant applies to all future chats, so it keeps getting better at your business.
When a visitor wants a person — or the assistant escalates — the chat is forwarded as an AiCB message to your team's @usernames on Caimunicate. The "leave your details" lead card captures their contact info, which is also emailed to the site admin.
Upload the plugin and activate it.
In AiCB Chat → Settings, paste your Anthropic API key and write your instructions.
Enable the WooCommerce tools, and add your AiCB agent API key + team @usernames for forwarding.
The chat bubble is live — conversations start appearing for review.
Coding standards: built to the WordPress Coding Standards (clean against PHP_CodeSniffer), with the required external-service disclosure — the readme spells out exactly what talks to api.anthropic.com and caimunicate.com, and nothing else leaves your site.
Download the plugin, upload it to WordPress and activate — then add your API key and instructions.

It's a free download from this page.
Install the plugin, go to AiCB Chat → Settings, paste your Anthropic (Claude) API key and write your instructions — the familiar floating chat bubble then appears on your site. AiCB Chat Widget uses Anthropic's Claude rather than ChatGPT, and there's also a hosted mode: embed your hosted Caimunicate widget site key instead of running the AI on your own site.
Yes. Visitors can ask about an order and the assistant looks it up — but the order tool only returns an order when the order number AND the billing email both match, and it replies identically for "not found" and "email mismatch" so order numbers can't be probed. It can also answer about products, prices and stock. The plugin works fine without WooCommerce too; the order and product tools switch on automatically when WooCommerce is active.
Yes — every chat is saved under AiCB Chat → Conversations so you can review transcripts, and from any conversation you can save a "learning" — a note the assistant applies to all future chats, so its answers keep improving. When a visitor leaves their details, the lead card captures their contact info and it's also emailed to the site admin.
Yes — in on-site mode the plugin sends chat messages to the Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com) to generate replies, under your own API key and Anthropic's terms. Yes. When a visitor asks for a human — or the assistant decides to escalate — the chat is forwarded as an AiCB message to your team's @usernames on Caimunicate, so a real person can pick it up. The "leave your details" lead card captures the visitor's contact info, which is also emailed to the site admin.
The plugin is free and open source (GPL-2.0+). It is published on the official WordPress.org plugin directory - install it from your WordPress dashboard under Plugins → Add New by searching for "AiCB Chat Widget", and a direct download is also available from this page. In on-site mode you bring your own Anthropic (Claude) API key; alternatively, hosted mode embeds your hosted Caimunicate widget site key instead. It runs on WordPress 6.2+ and PHP 7.4+.
